Wirrulla South Australia

We left Ceduna this morning at 10am and came across this little place an hour later. We were intrigued by the sign that said WIRRULLA has a secret so we stopped to find out what the secret was. At first glance we could see nothing untoward and then we spotted a sign that said to the jetty, we both looked at each other because we didn't think we were near any water. We were right though as there was no water but at the end of the street there was the remnants of a jetty!! apparently it was erected because of a joke as there was a saying "the only difference between a country town and a coastal one is a jetty" so a councellor built a jetty and the sign. The toilets were quite different being old water tanks and I thought the name quite comical. The general store sold bits of everything and there wasn't a single person to be seen apart from a young lad who drove up outside the store as I was taking the photo. As you can see I have purchased a new hat in keeping with our Oz travels which should keep the sun well off my face....when we see the sun that is! We have pulled into Kimba Caravan Park for the night, not sure about the freebies in SA but will definately staying in one tomorrow night.
